Inngot developer in UK squad for WorldSkills Shanghai 2021
19 Jan 2020
Inngot apprentice web developer Zack Evans has been selected for the UK squad for WorldSkills Shanghai 2021.
Education and skills charity WorldSkills UK has named the 137 apprentices and students who will join its Team UK for the 46th annual global competition for apprentices and students, dubbed the ‘Olympics for apprentices.’
The apprentices and students on the WorldSkills UK Talent Programme will now spend the next 18 months in training, fitted around their study and employment commitments, before a final selection test next year to secure a place in the team that will represent the UK at WorldSkills Shanghai 2021.
Alongside the announcement of the squad, WorldSkills UK set out plans to look at innovations in learning from other leading world economies to help create a world-class skill system in the UK to support economic growth, productivity and competitiveness.
Zack is currently doing a BEng in Software Engineering at University of Wales Trinity St David, Swansea, while working for innovative Swansea-based intellectual property experts Inngot four days a week. Zack was a national finalist in the 2019 UK national WorldSkills competition for web design.
Inngot has pioneered the use of online tools and services to help innovative businesses realise the value locked away in their intellectual property (IP) and intangible assets.
Inngot’s suite of accessible and affordable tools enable companies to identify IP and intangible assets, derive an indicative value for them, and communicate this information in a standardised report which is increasingly being used by banks and other lenders as validation in the lending process. Inngot’s valuation tools have now helped SMEs around the world to find more than £700m in previously ‘hidden’ value.
