Inngot is recruiting!
5 Nov 2019
Inngot is recruiting a business researcher to work at its busy HQ located in Swansea. Inngot offers easy-to-use and cost-effective online tools for valuing Intellectual Property and intangible assets (IP), IP audits, tech evaluation and IP policy research.
Here at Inngot, we are on a mission to enable organisations to get much, much more out of their Intellectual Property (IP) and intangible assets.
It is becoming widely recognised that many businesses have more value locked into their IP and intangibles than exists in any other type of asset. The rapid growth of the global tech sector is a good example, where many firms own virtually no tangible assets, such as premises or equipment, but where market values can run as high as billions of dollars. These large, often publicly-listed organisations obviously have no difficulties funding their growth, but for others, funding growth and expansion can be almost impossible without some form of physical collateral – and it’s a growing problem.
Inngot’s unique, online products are at the cutting edge of the solution to this problem.
Underpinned by our world-class research activity, thought leadership and professional services provided to the world’s governments and leading financial institutions, Inngot’s digital tools are enabling organisational stakeholders to understand the value of IP and leverage that value in the form of collateral, licensing and sales.
With significant and growing interest in the cost-effectiveness and reliability of our online IP valuation tools, this is an extremely exciting time for us and we are now looking to recruit a new team member to increase our research capacity.
Role
This is an entry-level position with superb growth prospects for the right candidate.
The work involves researching large amounts of commercial, market and technical information, reading and analysing it for relevance and then distilling the relevant elements into concise, but detailed, summaries for use by other team members in the production of our professional reports; this will involve navigating databases, web searching and retrieving public information from a variety of known channels, as well as seeking out new sources of information.
It should go without saying that the successful candidate will have a great eye for detail, an ability to identify relevant information (and filter-out irrelevant information), and the necessary focus to produce large amounts of accurate, grammatically correct written work.
Professional Skills & Personal Qualities
The successful candidate will, ideally, be educated to degree level in a relevant discipline, such as Business & Finance, Economics, English or one of the Humanities subjects and have significant experience of a variety of research techniques and sources of information. Excellent written communication skills (including spelling, punctuation and grammar) are essential, as are excellent skills in the use of ICT and office suite software. The ability to interpret and understand basic corporate financial information, along with a basic understanding of different forms of IP and intangible assets, is desirable.
This position and work environment would suit a self-motivated, friendly and adaptable ‘team player’, who has a professional, courteous attitude and a desire to develop and grow with the company.
IMPORTANT: Applications that are not accompanied by a detailed CV and covering letter will not be considered. Your letter should demonstrate that you have the experience, skills and qualities stipulated.
Please note that we do not work with recruitment agencies and will only accept direct applications.
Location: High Street, Swansea
Hours: 35 per week 09:00 – 17:00 (1 hour for lunch)
Salary: c. £17,000 - £18,000 with a review after six months and excellent prospects for the right candidate.
Holiday: 20 days per annum (increasing annually) plus statutory holidays
Job Type: Full-time
To apply, send a CV and covering letter to service@inngot.com
