Inngot participates in M-SParc World IP Day webinar

Inngot’s Dr Alison Orr (LinkedIn: DrAlisonOrr) will be one of the speakers at a lunchtime webinar celebrating World IP Day 2021, organised by Menai Science Parc - Parc Gwyddoniaeth Menai (Twitter: @M-SParc). The theme for WIP Day 2021 is ‘IP & SMEs: Taking your ideas to market’, and the MSparc webinar will explore IP for funding and growth.


Alison will be speaking about the importance and value of IP and intangible assets and how they can be exploited to drive business growth.


The event is being chaired by IP, media and technology law counsel Jane Lambert, and other speakers include M-SParc-based BIC Innovation, Knox Commercial Solicitors talking about IP in joint ventures and IP Tax Solutions on R&D tax incentives tax breaks for new companies and their equity investors. They will be joined by representatives of the Welsh government and the UK Intellectual Property Office.

Alison is a part-qualified patent attorney, has worked with the European Commission and other EU stakeholders as part of the Enterprise Europe Network (now Innovate UK Edge in the UK) and also lectures in IP and international business at Sheffield Hallam University's Business School.

It is a science and innovation park offering space for companies and businesses in the Low Carbon, Energy and Environment, ICT and Natural Products sectors, as well as firms that offer business support services for such companies.
