Inngot CEO Martin Brassell has been invited to  speak at the World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO event IP Finance in Japan: Challenges and Potentials tomorrow morning (15/06/22)at 8.00am GMT (4.00pm Tokyo time).


WIPO is sponsoring a series of country reports exploring how different nations have approached IP-based finance, and this is the second to be published, covering Japan's use of IP-backed financing.


The first report in the series covered Singapore’s journey and its approach to IP financing. The next in the series will cover the UK experience, and is expected to be published soon.


Martin Brassell is a world-recognised expert on IP and intangible assets and their use in securing business finance, particularly for SMEs. His research and policy work includes co-writing two reports for the OECD - OCDE, co-writing the Intellectual Property Office UK’s Banking on IP? and Hidden Value reports, and co-writing a book for Oxford University Press, Economic Approaches to Intellectual Property. He has featured in the IAM Strategy 300 list of the world’s leading IP strategists since 2019.


In addition to research and policy projects, Martin also has real-world practical experience running IP-rich businesses and working as a high-level business coach and advisor on IP, IP valuation and its strategic management.
